Strategic 500

Market: S&P 500 E-mini futures contract
Minimum Account Size: $25,000/contract

Strategic 500 is a short term volatility breakout system that generally holds trades for 1-2 days. Strategic 500 utilizes chart patterns combined with seasonality to setup trades with a positive expectancy and then looks to enter the market in the direction of the daily trend. To enter in the direction of the daily trend the system enters the market on a volatility breakout above or below the opening price.

The majority of trade setups are based around reversal logic such as an oversold or overbought market or regression to the mean with a time based overlay. Our method identifies when the market is likely to move further in the required direction during a time period where the setup has been highly profitable in the past. It is important to understand that the trading setups we utilize need to be profitable in isolation of seasonal movement, however once a profitable pattern is found we look to improve the performance by only taking that trade when the market is more likely to move up or down based upon historical movement.  The Strategic 500 system also takes advantage of major seasonal trading periods in isolation such as the first trading day of the month, the Monday preceding options expiry, tax effects and public holidays.

Snapshot 500

Market: S&P 500 E-mini futures contract
Minimum Account Size: $25,000/contract

The Snapshot 500 system is an upgrade to the AG Mechwarrior system which is ranked as a top 10 S&P 500 system on Futurestruth. The Snapshot 500 system runs on 205 minute data and generally holds trades for a 24 hour period. The system takes advantage of short term reversals, volatility, regression and two major seasonal patterns. The system trades from 2-7 times per month. Unlike Strategic 500 this system does not look to filter chart pattern setups with a seasonal filter, all pattern setups are traded regardless of the seasonal period. The result is highly robust performance. This system will perform well during volatile market periods and with a low drawdown during periods of low volatility traders can navigate their way through market conditions which are non-conducive to the system.

AG Mechwarrior

Market: S&P 500 E-mini futures contract
Minimum Account Size: $25,000/contract

AG Mechwarrior was released in August 2004 and is one of our oldest trading systems. It is ranked as a top 10 system by Futurestruth, the industry standard rating agency for publicly traded systems and this was during the lowest volatility period seen in 30 years. Since volatility picked up in 2008 AG Mechwarrior climbed to sixth place as rated by Futurestruth and should continue to be highly profitable in most market conditions. AG Mechwarrior utilizes a combination of chart patterns and seasonality to setup short term trades lasting from 1-2 days. The system is essentially a day trading system that carries positions overnight if the market is moving in the clients favour. The system also uses reverse entry logic to exit trades that are not moving in the required direction. The result is that positions are often cut during V shaped trading days. AG Mechwarrior includes volatility breakout logic and performs best during volatile markets.

Strategic Bonds

Market: US 30 Year T-Bond contract
Minimum Account Size: $30,000/contract

The Strategic Bonds system trades the US T-Bond market and utilizes a combination of several different chart pattern combined with seasonality to setup new trades and then looks to enter the market in the direction of the main trend for the day.

The system often holds a position for 1-3 days and combines overnight gaps, oversold conditions, regression to the mean and various other conditions to position the trader in the most likely direction of the next move. Each trading pattern must be profitable on its own prior to a seasonal overly being applied to each of the trade setups. These conditions combined with volatility breakouts come together to make an active, yet accurate swing trading model.
